We are looking for someone to join our front of house team as a server.

Working at Baltzersen's

We want to make working at Baltzersen's as positive an experience for you and for the business as we can.

You have the opportunity to get lunch from our bakery shop further down the road each day during your shift. Naturally hot drinks are freely available on shift too.

We provide you with company branded tees, sweatshirts and freshly laundered aprons - you just need to wear black trousers and shoes.

The Role

The pay for this role is £11.44 per hour. We always state pay as an hourly rate because we always pay you when you are at work - you are not salaried and not expected to work extra hours for free. If you work extra hours you also earn additional holiday entitlement too.

You'll work shifts from 8am - 5pm across 5 days out of 7, this will include one day at the weekend.

Servers are the people that look after our guests in the cafe.

During the pandemic we transitioned away from counter service to table service so you will become comfortable with this style of service, some experience is great but we can teach you.

Cafes and coffee shops are about people serving people. So you'll be friendly, out going, have excellent people skills and bags of enthusiasm.

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have some prior experience of working in a hospitality role. If you don't have experience that's fine as long as you are confident, organised and want to work in this type of role.

Experience within other independent hospitality businesses would be great. You should be actively interested in food, drink and the wider hospitality scene outside of work.

Knowledge of our offer here in the cafe and the products we sell in our bakery shops is also a positive.
